Maikel Nabil Sanad, Egyptian Activist, Speaks in Israel
Maikel Nabil Sanad, an Egyptian political activist, who was arrested and imprisoned for protesting against the Egyptian government (both by the Mubarak gov’t, and the post-Mubarak gov’t), came to Israel this week and spoke at the Truman Institute of the Hebrew University. He has said that “I am not ready to hold a weapon against an Israeli young man, compulsory recruited, who defends the right of his country to exist”. His full speech in Jerusalem:
